Jim and Ann Web Bio

“Our vision is to reach a greater number of Russian and Ukrainian people of all ages with the gospel of Jesus Christ by effectively using modern media technology.

Jim and Ann Leonovich have worked with Russian people since 1979. Their ministry focus includes radio production, music production, studio construction, developing national ministries, missionary resourcing, humanitarian aid, administration, human resources and personal evangelism.

After the formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (Russia, Ukraine and Belarus), they moved most of their ministry into Russia and Ukraine. Living and traveling extensively in the CIS gives them a unique approach to current ministry needs. Jim and Ann work and live easily overseas. They also resided in Great Britain on loan to International Christian Communications (ICC).

Their combined ministry experience makes them invaluable in assisting and equipping the national missionaries and lay specialists. They are developing the SMS Int’l media group which also networks with other Christian missionary organizations in order to fulfill the great commission wherever there are Slavic people. They are reaching children and young people through music, summer camps, orphan ministries, humanitarian aid and personal, friendship evangelism.

Jim and Ann are based in southern California, travel extensively in the United States, Europe and the former Soviet Union and represent the work of SMS and the media ministries. They have been married for 33 years.
