Leon Chechowich is the Field Coordinator for Slavic Missionary Service. He serves as evangelist and Bible teacher in the Commonwealth of Independent States (C.I.S.) travelling extensively in his role as field coordinator.

● He had two assignments of ministry in Australia, 1953 – 1963 and 1987-1990. During that time he worked in broadcasting to the former Soviet Union, and distributing literature and Bibles. He helped organize the Slavic Evangelical Baptist Fellowship of Australia, which was organized to reach Slavic speaking people in Australia. He was pastor of churches in California, Michigan and Ohio in bi-lingual ministries.

Since 1990 he has served Slavic speaking people in various countries of the former Soviet Union and in the USA.

He married Ann on August 25,1951 and they share responsibilities for the ministry entrusted to them by the Lord. They have four adult children.
